1.1 Why do I have to activate my account here ?
The activation procedure is part of keeping this system safe from fraudulent people. It is fully automated. All you need to do is follow the instructions on how to activate your account.
1.2 How do I see the people that are online ?
At the top of the main menu, near the words "Currently online," click "men" or "women." This will open a window with a list. Click on the icon showing two people in order to begin a chat with that person. To see a specific profile, simply click on the person's name.
1.3 I deleted the email with my activation code. What do I do ?
If you have accidentally deleted the e-mail with your activation code, and your account was not yet activated, simply go to the nifgashim homepage and log in. You will see your card on the side of the page. A message will appear under your mail box saying "click here to activate". Click this link to re-send the email with the code. Make sure to check your spam and junk email just in case the message is sent there. Once you receive the email with your activation code, click on the link within the email to activate your account.
1.4 Why does a card not open ?
If a card does not open, it is because the popups are blocked. In order to fix this, you will need to unblock the popups within your browser. Sometimes, there is also a toolbar (i.e. in google or yahoo, etc.) that will also require a change in the popup status.
1.5 What do I do if I have forgotten my password ?
If you have forgotten your password, go to the homepage and enter the email address you used to establish your account. Press the link "forgot my password." An email containing your password will be sent to your address.

2.1 How do I see my profile ?
From the main menu, click the blue button near the words "how others see me" to check your profile.
2.2 How do I change my profile ?
From the main menu, click on "My profile". You will have the option of changing your profile. Please don't forget to save!
2.3 How do I delete my profile ?
To delete your card, click on "my card". There you will see a category called "preferences." Click on this option and you will be taken to a screen that has an icon to delete your profile. After deletion, the system will bring you back to the login screen. If you want to use the website, you will need to go through the registration process again.
2.4 Can I make my card inactive ?
if you want to make your card inactive without cancelling your account, simply go to the section under "my profile" marked "general preferences." Here, you will need to check "hide" next to online and search. This way, people will not be able to see you.

3.1 How do I change the search preferences ?
Click the red heart in the main menu, just near "My prefrences." This will bring you a new screen where you can choose your search criteria. After saving, the search result will match your criteria.
3.2 What is a reverse search ?
Reverse search allows you to search for people whose preferences match your details. If you do not use it, the search results will be based only on general information and not on the other person's preferences.
3.3 I am a man who is looking to meet a man ?
Edit your search preferences with a reverse search option of "Gender". This will give you men that are searching for men.
3.4 How are the search results sorted ?
Search results are sorted as follows: first, those who have a visible picture; next, those who have a private picture; and finally, those without pictures. Within each category, the results are sorted according to the most recent visit to the site.
3.5 Why do I get both men and women in my search results ?
The search engine is designed to select all profiles that match your preferences. If you would like to receive only profiles from one sex or the other, navigate to "My preferences" and select male or female only.
3.6 How do I get more results for my search criteria ?
The more criteria you select, the more narrow your search results will be. If you would like to see more profiles, navigate to "My search preferences" and check if the advanced search options are marked. Removing reverse search criteria options will increase the search results you get.
3.7 How does the search according to geographic location work ?
This search function works by setting a particular distance from your home location. In this case, the only geographic locations that will appear in your search results will be within this radius.
4.1 How do I send a message ?
When you are looking at someone's profile, you will see an icon of a pencil on the top of the page. Click on this icon to open a new message screen. There, you can write and send your message. Don't forget to save!
4.2 How do I delete an incoming message ?
To delete a message, from any folder, you should select the message, and then click the delete button (red X) located in the message handling section.
4.3 How do I create a new private folder ?
To create a new private folder, write the name of the folder you want to create in "Manage folders," and then click the button "create new folder."
4.4 I received a message that my mailbox is overloaded; What do I do ?
If you have received a message saying that your mailbox is too full, you will need to delete some of the items in your mail folders. You can delete an entire folder by clicking on the red "X" next to the folder's name. All your deleted messages will be moved to the deleted mail folder. You will need to click the red "X" next to this folder in order to get rid of these items.
4.5 How can I narrow the types of people who can write to me ?
Under "my profile" there is a section called "blocks," Here, you can choose categories in which to narrow the types of people who you will receive mail from. These are called static blocks, and can be according to age, gender, and more.

5.1 Is there an option not to be seen online ?
Yes. If you don't want others to see when you are online, navigate to the "my preferences" screen. Un-mark the option "Your profile is visible to others search queries." Now you will be hidden, and not on the online list.
5.2 Is there an option to cancel the automatic email notification when I receive a new message ?
Yes. If you don't want to receive an email notifying you when you have a new message from nifgashim, navigate to the "my preferences" screen. Un-mark the option "Notify me with an email when I have a new message here."
5.3 Can I see another profile without being seen ?
Yes. Navigate to the "my preferences" screen. Choose the option to be seen or not when viewing another person's profile.
5.4 Is it possible to block others from seeing the last time I logged in ?
Yes. Under "my profile," go to the section "general preferences." Here, you will see "show last visit in my profile." If this is unchecked, your last login is hidden.
5.5 Is it possible to not allow others to rate me ?
To not participate in the "rating game" you can unmark the icon "allow others to rate me and see my score." All of this can be found in the section "General Preferences."
5.6 Can I block others from chatting with me ?
In the section "General Preferences" you can unmark the icon next to the option "I am available to chat." In this situation, everyone who tries to chat with you will receive the message "unavailable to chat."

6.1 How do I upload my picture to my card ?
From the main menu, select the section "my profile." Click the option "My pictures." From here, you will see the option "Upload picture". Click on "upload picture" and follow the instructions on the screen.
6.2 How do I delete a picture from my profile ?
Navigate to "My pictures" from the "my profile" icon on the main menu. Click "Delete Picture". If the deleted picture was your primary picture, another picture (if you have one in your profile) will become your main picture.
6.3 Is there an option to mark a picture as private ?
Of course! While you are in "My pictures," you may mark a picture as private. It will not be visible to others, but you may attach a private picture to an internal message you write within the website.
